The Icing Research Tunnel (IRT) - Building 9 Refrigeration System Study
CDL was selected to conduct a concept study to replace the refrigeration system that supported NASA’s Aircraft Icing Program’s objectives for its Icing Research Tunnel. During the study, specialized research and expertise were requested. This system is one of the world’s largest and oldest tunnels capable of duplicating aircraft icing conditions.
The Icing Research Tunnel (IRT) - Building 11, Shop Expansion
This was a small expansion of the shop area in Building 11, where customer models were assembled and prepared for testing in the Icing Research Tunnel.
Building 21, Modifications
Approximately 16,000 sq. ft. of office area needed interior modifications specifically toward improving the HVAC and fire alarm systems.
Propulsion Systems Laboratory Altitude Chambers Test Cells 1 & 2, Demolition
This was a series of demolition projects including buildings, test chambers, cooling structures, related piping, supports, foundations, and utilities.
Bridge Inspection Four Bridges – FY06 & FY07
We were hired to coordinate maintenance inspections for a few bridges on site. These inspections were required and conducted by the Ohio Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) Bridge Inspection Manual and Federal Highway Administration.
Hillside Slope Stabilization Investigation
CDL helped conduct a Geotechnical and Civil Engineering study to address alternatives for stabilizing a subject slope.
