Buildings 1411 & 1441 Renovation
Various maintenance renovations were overdue in the Mission Critical Facility: Space Power Facility (SPF), Test Building No. 1411, and the attached office building No. 1441. CDL helped prepare the buildings for multiple repairs, the replacement of aging materials, Life Safety Equipment updates, and the upgrading of sprinkler systems, plumbing, and communication systems.
Building 7141: Ground Source Heat Pump
The existing HVAC system in Building 7141 was out of date and required an upgrade from a double-pipe radiant system to a ground source geothermal heat pump system.
Building 1411: HVAC Study
Our team composed a cost and feasibility study for the assembly and disassembly areas in the SPF, Test Building No. 1411, which consisted of high bays and 50’x50’ operable doors. The study was requested to help determine the feasibility of installing a class 100,000/300,000 cleanroom HVAC system.
CEV Vibro-Acoustic Test Capability
CDL worked on designing two Vibro-Acoustic Test Capability (VTC) systems to be housed within the disassembly high bay of the existing operational Space Power Facility. The two new VTC systems would be for Mechanical Vibrations Analysis and Reverberant Acoustic Testing.
