In Russells Point, Ohio, Honda Transmission Manufacturing (HTM) opened a new 17,200 square foot Technical Center for its Product Engineering and Market Quality operations. This facility was designed following the LEED guidelines at that time and won several awards for its integration of smart systems and energy efficiency. In 2002 Honda expanded the building and all systems by 10,200 square feet, including adding (4) new wells to the geothermal system. In 2005, Honda added to the facility again with an extra 12,200 square feet.
