Acorn Distributors

Acorn Distributors, Inc. is a family-owned cleaning supplies distributor. Their satellite office was located in Columbus, Ohio, in an old warehouse building. The owners wished to upgrade by building a new office and warehouse facility to accommodate their expanding business.

This project's total square footage was 100,000 square feet, with 13,000 sq. ft. allocated to the new office space. The office plan was designed around a primary circular corridor that connected all the major business functions and allowed for uninterrupted circulation. It also provided ease of access to shared essential programs such as bathrooms and a shower. The plan's other areas included a transitional boardroom/training room, products library, and products testing lab. The remaining 87,000 sq. ft. were dedicated to shipping and receiving and warehouse operations.
