Our team was commissioned to conduct a feasibility study and provide a master plan for the Tigerpoly site in Grove City, Ohio. The study analyzed and presented an optimal master plan for this expansion and any future expansions necessary for the growth of Tigerpoly. Additionally, CDL designed a new 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse addition to the existing plant and converted the existing 22,600 sq. ft. warehouse into a manufacturing area. To accommodate this expansion and future expansions, the site required relocating an existing roadway, converting it into a cul-de-sac, and relocating an existing storm sewer ditch. This project was completed in phases so that warehouse supplies could be moved into the new warehouse before the demolition and renovation of the existing warehouse was converted into manufacturing. In 2006 Tigerpoly wanted a 57,300 SF addition to its manufacturing facility. This addition consisted of 52,300 SF of manufacturing space and 5,000 SF of space for employee locker rooms, restrooms, and break room. 10,000 SF of office space was also remodeled within the existing plant. The site work package consisted of constructing new storm water management facilities, utility upgrades, asphalt paving, employee parking for 60 employees, and a loading dock area for 10 trucks. We utilized a pre-engineered metal building with metal siding to match the existing building to create additional manufacturing space. The mechanical, electrical, and conveyance packages consisted of two process water loops, one compressed air loop, and a 277/480 V 3-phase, 4,000 A electrical service to facilitate several manufacturing cells. Three 5-ton bridge cranes were also erected. This project was completed on-time and within the proposed budget.
