Screen Machine Industries, Inc. came to CDL to design and build its new international headquarters in Pataskala, Ohio. Screen Machine Industries, Inc. manufactures a unique line of machines that sifts and screens debris and crushes rubble. These machines are employed in multiple industries, including road construction, mining, recycling, and composting.

The company had purchased an existing facility in Pataskala, Ohio (just outside of Columbus) to renovate and expand the space to double Screen Machine’s manufacturing capacity. Our team worked with the client to combine two existing warehouses and design an office space that would become the new face of their innovative manufacturing technology. For example, on the building’s façade, we introduced wide curving bands that symbolize the company’s trailblazing technology, which breaks free from the rest of the building's generic boxy form.

The project’s summary included the renovation of 18,000 square feet of existing assembly area, new construction of 81,608 square feet of assembly spaces, and 7,000 square feet of two-story office space for a total project square footage of 106,608.
