Study and Recommendation Report

CDL was chosen to assist the CRAA in the planning of a new Emergency Operation Center and Police Training Facility. The CDL team toured the existing EOC to kick-off the design process and better understand the operations conditions and functions before hosting a week-long design charette for the project. During the design process, a room by room program was developed from information obtained through interviewing the users. An evaluation of the original terminal building was also conducted to determine the best location for the current EOC operations. The review concluded that the existing facility did not meet the intended usage’s structural building code requirements. A written report was prepared and delivered by the CDL team, which presented our assessments. Also included were our planning recommendations to be used by the CRAA in determining a future site.
